yoz... all you budding song writers out there!! if you have any song you composed or written, let me record it for you!!! not professional standard... but almost there... =]

here's a sample of a recording that i have done at home... all instruments played by me... (thank you thank you)... and of course sang by me too... though my voice not very nice... but the point is the quality of the recording... and im proud to say... i did it all on my mac!!! with garageband and my little keyboard... the beauty of layered music... can one-man show... voice was recorded only by my mac's internal mic... all i have to do is to compress the voice to remove most of the environmental sounds... just found out... =] APPLE rocks...!!

oh well... yet another failed attempt at my driving... yes yes... failed my driving test once again... felt sad... but actually more of pissed... i really can't stand driving tests... its just so subjective...

everytime i go, i get a different tester... and each tester demands different aspects of driving... the first time i did my test, the tester failed me because he feels that i drove too slow... wow he HAS feelings!!... i cannot be a safe driver meh? its so fustrating... especially when the results are told to me only after everything is over... there's no way to remember wat had happened and no way to argue or redeem yourself... the demerit boxes have been ticked, the decision has been made already... and all these points are given based on the testers feelings... i think traffic police here needs to revise their test methods... seriously...

today's test was even worse... the tester claims that i made too sharp turns and said i ALMOST hit the curb... but wat the hell la... wat does his almost mean?? 1cm? 2cm? 1m? and he just mark me down for improper turning... but the fact is i didnt hit the curb wat... then he said my speed was a little too fast... so wat in the world does he mean when he says a little too fast? 10km too fast? or just too fast for his likeness?... the training manual says no changing lane at a sharp bend... so how sharp is sharp?? 90 degree? 19 degrees?? or however sharp the tester feels it is?? this is so unfair... i should ask the tester to take the test and i be the tester... he is sure to fail 100%... all i need to say is at every turn he almost hit the curb and his speed is a little fast sometimes and a little slow sometimes... i think thats enough for him to chalk up 50 points...

i really hate driving tests... stupid test.. worst test on earth... why can't they have more standard rules??... there shouldnt be any 'almost', or a little this a little that... how can they judge in this manner? if i hit the curb, then i hit it... minus all the marks you want... not when i almost hit it... then can i almost get a liscense?? can they almost take their pay at the end of every month?? goodness...


i cant imagine how my next test is going to turn out... hopefully i can get my liscense before i get married... or maybe before my family runs out of money... pathetic driving tests...

Athletes prefer isotonic drinks over water because they contain a small amount of carbohydrate (less than 8%) and sodium. It’s the sodium that really makes a difference when it comes to dehydration, but why?

The absorption of water by the body is absolutely dependent on absorption of solutes, particularly sodium. Isotonic drinks have the same concentration of sodium as blood plasma. This small amount of sodium helps promote absorption of fluid in the small intestine, reduces the sodium lost through sweating and also decreases the amount of water excreted.


alright... now we know why... for those who don't understand a single word up there... here's the main points...

i love clubbing... its super fun man... haha... and i think its the most happening thing going on now at this time of the year... people who know me well enuff will know i dun go clubbing... haha... but there IS only one club that i go to... and thats parc oasis clubhouse!!!

yes its the time of the year where everyone starts to mug for exams... some last min, and others died from studying too much already... its time for me to study... and the best way of course is to study smart... and so my new clubbing lifestyle is born... and thats to study at my condo clubhouse... abit lame la i know... but theres a reason why its clubbing... cos its fun!!... free aircon, swimming pool view, quiet environment... and if im tired i can go play squash, take a swim, go to the gym, go opposite and eat... and then get back to my work... this 9am to 6pm lifestyle is so cool k i tell you... and the amount of money you spend a day is practically zero... only lunch money is needed... cheap and good man... and you can tell people you went clubbing everyday before the exams from 9am to 6pm... haha...

so people will tend to realise that i will be MIA (missing in action) this few weeks... dun worry im safe at home... busy studying and enjoying sports with my Friendly And Tough (FAT) neighbour willy...

winners

congrats to serene for being the 1st runner-up at the SMU virtuoso singing finals solo category... yay... *hooray hooray*... it was unexpected you might say... but the fact that you won and the judges chose you proves something... so well done!!

well it was really an eye opener for me to see so many young talented singers... especially the song writing competition category... it was more of song writing AND performance... because their performance and stage presence was soooo good... and its also the first time i hear a guitarist use his guitar to play 'strings' using his platforms of guitar pedals... for those who dun know, guitar pedals are things that you connect to your electric guitar and when you step on them you can change or distort the sound of your guitar... usually i see people only use 1... but that guy was like using 6 to 8 la... incredible... oh man i tell you... he practically solo the music parts... there was only another pianist but there were strings sound, distortion guitar, sound effects, solo lines and so much more... he is guitar shen... inspires me to practise my guitar...

but of course the highlight of the concert wasnt the results of the competition... it was the lucky draw!!! and i have never ever believed in lucky draws cos i never ever win... until today... because some people left early, me and serene's friend we each had 3 lucky draw tickets each... and out of 5 $20 manhattan fish market vouchers and 10 pairs of golden village complimentary tickets, we won 3 $20 manhattan vouchers and 1 pair of tickets... how cool is that man... i feel lucky... haha...



so it was an eventful day... and at the end of it... we were all winners... =]
